"Since its inception the Museum has enjoyed the best of both worlds. The permanent collection clearly demonstrates Roy Kitchin's original aim to allow sculptures and the landscape they occupy to adapt to each others presence through the quiet passage of time; thereby imbuing the place with a deep sense of harmony and tranquillity. But it is also a place for the creation of new works - providing a dynamic and sometimes noisy aspect centred around the studio and workshops. This is particularly evident during Cast Iron Sculpture Workshops and it is this workshop activity that the Museum is developing for what will surely become an exciting and productive future."
