Foreword is by Norman Reid; preface and introductory essay “Léger and the Heroism of Modern Life” by John Golding. Other essays include one by Professor Christopher Green of the Courtauld Institute. Selection of writings by the artist; notes on selected works exhibited; biographies of twenty-seven additional artists represented in the exhibition, bibliography.
